– To present and discuss issues of how to improve quality in healthcare and strengthen an infrastructure for knowledge implementation

and implementation research in healthcare systems.

 

OBJECTIVES

 

– To present the evidence on the effectiveness of implementing change in healthcare settings.

– To present a range of practical tools to do this both in a service and research setting.

– To present the evidence and practice around tailoring improvement strategies to specific contexts and chronic illness care – especially

quality of care in cardiovascular and chronic obstructive diseases, depression in elderly, obesity and polypharmacy

– To discuss using evidence in a policy context
